PCR test Budapest, District 2. 👉️ Margit Laboratory location
Those who have been to Buda are likely to know the iconic building of “Körszálló”, a cylindrical block completed in 1967, also fondly called the Colosseum. It is here, in the parking lot in front of the building, that you will find the 2nd district sampling station of Margit Laboratory.
How to access the sampling station?
The parking lot at 47 Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor is easily accessible by public transport. Take:
- tram 17, 41, 56, 56A, 59, 59B, 61 or 61B, or
- bus 5, 22, 22A, 57, 91, 155, 156 or 222, or
- the cogwheel railway (officially tram 60).
The name of the stop is Városmajor for all trams and buses as well as the cogwheel.
Alternatively, you can choose to travel as far as Széll Kálmán (previously Moszkva) tér and walk approximately 800 m (about 10 minutes) to the sampling station.
It is just as easy by car: you can turn into the parking lot from Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor from either direction.
Where exactly is the sampling station?
Although the parking lot of Körszálló is huge and the building itself houses the offices of several companies, you cannot miss the container of Margit Laboratory, with the words “COVID tesztelés” (COVID testing) and “MargitLab” against a cyclamen-colour background clearly visible already from the tram or bus.
What kinds of test are available here?
Samples are taken for PCR tests and antibody tests; in the latter case, you can also request an immunity certificate if the test produces a positive result (i.e. immunity is proven).
In the 2nd district, the fastest way to obtain a PCR test result is to provide a sample at the sampling station, which is tested in the lab and the result e-mailed to the customer.
Several sampling stations for corona virus tests are operated by Margit Laboratory at various sites in Budapest. After sampling, the tests are performed in a specially equipped diagnostic lab at Kolosy tér.
